Little River Inn

NATURAL BEAUTY

After a century, or more, of steady visitors the oceanside village of Mendocino has managed to maintain its charm, tranquility, and beauty. While some coastal towns have become meccas for surfers or sleepy outposts with only a handful of inhabitants, Mendocino has stayed true to its strong community and artistic roots. To this day it continues to lure refined travelers seeking an escape.

The Victorian-styled Little River Inn looks out over the dramatic coastline of the Pacific Ocean and is surrounded by lush gardens.

A big part of the attraction is the luxurious Little River Inn.

This grand Victorian-styled inn has been greeting guests and treating them to the highest standard hospitality for five generations.

Set on the very rim of North America the Little River Inn is all you could ever want in one beautifully situated location. On the grounds is a challenging 9-hole golf course with pro shop, a tennis facility, fine dining restaurant, a full-service bar and lounge, and the Little River Inn Salon & Spa — so renowned that day trippers have been known to drive from San Francisco to enjoy a massage, and the Little River Inn signature facial. Most who make the trek to Mendocino generally stay for several days and stay in one of the delightful rooms; each with breathtaking ocean views, fireplaces, and steam showers. The ocean bluff dotted private sleek lined cottages, a short drive from the main building, are blissfully romantic with decks for al fresco sunset wine sipping, vaulted ceilings, outdoor hot tubs and Jacuzzi tubs.An equally alluring draw, the opportunity to enjoy a meal in the main building, are blissfully romantic with decks for al fresco sunset wine sipping, vaulted ceilings, outdoor hot tubs and Jacuzzi tubs.

This family owned, charming full destination resort also accommodates pets.

An equally alluring draw, the opportunity to enjoy a meal in the Main Dining Room created by Executive Chef Marc Dym. The menu is steeped in classics like the Peppered New York steak served with mushroom brandy au jus, herb butter, smashed red potatoes and green beans almondine and a genuinely Provençal style bouillabaisse replete with copious scallops, shrimp, clams, and green lip mussels.

Be sure to try Chef Dym’s brunch. A favorite among guests and locals alike is his take on Little River Inn Blintzes filled with cream cheese and olallieberries, olallieberry sauce and whipped cream.

Next trip up the North coast be sure to duck into the Little River and experience for yourself true hospitality in a setting so idyllic you may never want to leave.
